Chlorophyll: Noticable Blood Benefits

Chlorophyll is a little gem I discovered on a health blog years ago and I have been taking it ever since! The simple way to explain what chlorophyll is: the pigmentation in plants and algae. It's what makes plants green and what allows plants to absorb energy from light.

So naturally this can be found in food. However, with a small amount in our food - our digestive system doesn't allow for as much absorption to achieve noticeable benefits. I don't often recommend supplements over food, but this is one of those things I take on a daily basis that I believe have made a huge impact on my health! When it comes to supplements I like to get as close to the natural form as possible - which is why 9 times out of 10 I prefer liquid droppers over powder/pills.

Chlorophyll benefits:

- Promotes internal body healing: I posted an IG video about this, how when I get a cut I usually bleed a lot, after putting chlorophyll in my water for a few months, barely any blood comes out!

- Oxygenates the blood - which means your blood can respond to crisis and solve the problem faster. This is where quicker recovery comes from.

- Detoxifies blood: Chlorophyll has been shown to bind to toxic metals in order to stop them from absorbing into the bloodstream

- Protects DNA against Fried foods: according to Global Healing Center, "Fried foods aren't just bad for your waistline, they also contain chemicals known to damage colon tissue and the DNA of colon cells. In one study, participants who ate fried foods coupled with protective foods, including chlorophyll, were observed to have less DNA damage of colon cells"

How crazy is that? These health benefits only come with consistency, but overall this ingredient is a great addition to your health regimen.

Cheers to good health,

Xoxo,
